Bridgestone Arena's bag policy restricts the type and size of bags

Bridgestone Arena Bag Policy

Before we dive into the bag policy, it's worth noting that Bridgestone Arena strongly discourage guests from bringing bags to events. By arriving light you'll make your way through security and x-ray screening with ease and speed, so you can get to your seats and enjoy the action.

If the idea of heading to the venue without any bags or belongings seems too impossible, then you'll need to know what's permitted. Bags that measure more than 12" x 12" x 6" aren't allowed in. Any bags between 6”x4”x1.5” and 12”x 12”x6” are allowed in, but they will go through a visual inspection and x-ray screening.

Even though there isn't a clear bag policy, some fans still use these styles of bags. Worth noting, that clear bags will still go through X-ray screening and visual inspection process. They also need to comply with the size restrictions. Backpacks of any size and type aren't permitted.

Exceptions to the bag policy include bags needed for medical purposes such as medical bags and diaper bags for those with little ones.

There is no on-site bag storage or lockers, which goes back to the suggestion not to bring your belongings with you.

Additional Rules, Policies, and Tips When Visiting Bridgestone Arena

As you'd expect, Bridgestone Arena has more rules than just the bag policy. There are too many to cover here, but these are the ones you'll for sure want to know about.

Food and Beverage Policy

Guests often plan on bringing food and drink into stadiums and arenas with them, but that's not always allowed. At Bridgestone Arena, all food and drinks are prohibited. This includes alcohol. You can purchase all the snacks and drinks you want inside the arena at the concession stands.

Transportation Options

Atlanta is known for being a walkable city, with so many attractions and sights near each other. The arena is no exception, which means there are several transportation options. You can take a taxi or rideshare, or you can choose to drive. Worth noting that if there is a sporting event taking place, parking lots fill up very fast.

If you choose to drive an affordable parking option is the Fifth Avenue of the Arts garage which is just a couple of blocks from the arena. This lot can be booked in advance too. Another option is to park at Nissan Stadium for free in Lot R, then take a three-dollar shuttle bus to and from the arena.

There is also a public transit station very close to the stadium, making public transportation a convenient, cost-effective, and stress-free way to get to your event. Bus routes 3, 7, 8, and 18 all make stops just a few blocks away at Broadway and 8th. Riverside Station is also a few blocks away for those who want to take the train.

Camera Policy

Planning to take lots of pictures while at the concert or sports event? No problem as small cameras are generally allowed at all events. The exceptions are professional cameras and camcorders, camera gear like a tripod or selfie stick, and long lenses that get in the way of others trying to watch the performers or athletes.

Service Animals

This is a very specific rule but if you require a service animal, they are permitted. Your service animal will need to fit under your seat, or they will need a ticket for an additional seat.
